There is a point system in Delhi for taking admissions in schools. Most of the schools give high priority to neighborhood and siblings of the children who are already studying there. While allotment of points, schools also consider girl child, first child, single parent and legally adopted children.
Parents should be aware of the point allotment system as most of the schools have fixed these criteria for their 50% to 80% general category in entry-level seats. 25% seats are also reserved for the economically weaker section (EWS).
